more than a team.....
Also known as "the art of eight limbs" Muay Thai includes the use of fists, elbows, knees, and feet. The discipline became widespread internationally in the twentieth century, when Muay Thai practitioners defeated notable practitioners of other martial arts. Whether you want to get in the best shape of your life or are looking to compete in the ring, Sitan Gym's Muay Thai classes can get you there. We have three levels of classes that fit everyone's needs, from the total beginners and weekend warriors to competitive amateur and professional fighters.
Sitan is primarily known for it's traditional Muay Thai and uses the very same regimen that is taught in Thailand. However, in recent times we are beginning to see world renowned fighters in Thailand implementing boxing into their everyday training to further evolve their skills. Boxing is the art of attack and defense with the fists and includes angles, footwork, head movements, power, speed, and timing. As Sitan consistently seek tools that would benefit our students and fighters, we decided to offer classes teaching the sweet science at no extra cost. So what are you waiting for? Research shows that cardiovascular fitness helps protect against heart disease. Working your way to fitness and health may be easier than you think. Here at Sitan Gym, we GUARANTEE an intense calorie burning workout every class and will have your heart pumping like it never has before. Cardiovascular exercise is any activity that involves the large muscles in the body, raises the heart rate, and is continuous and rhythmic which is exactly what we offer daily.
Centuries ago, Western culture lost its focus on the interconnectedness between the body and the mind or spirit, and how each has the power to affect the other. Cultivating a love of movement can help you get beyond the concept of physical fitness as separate from mental fitness and toward a lifelong program of good health through mind and body fitness.
"The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights."
